Kate is standing on her tiptoes to reach things. I find this way adorable. she is running around naked right now because she took off her diaper. she is good at that. thankfully we have marble floors which mean that naked babies arent evil here. mike is taking a million pics of the naked infant to send to grandparents.

my mother is still in mexico and i miss her like crazy. my grand mother’s cancer is still there but they have stopped chemo because she was taking it too hard. her body is giving out. i am scared that we are losing her.

work is insanely busy. anyone want a job? take mine pls.  i am so underqualified for this job and it drives me insane to think of what will happen in a recession and i dont know what i will do because i am not good at being what i do… people say that i am but i am worried abut that too.

i think that is why i keep getting sick.  worried of everything i am.

The houston birth fair is next Saturday. I cant wait for it. I am going to be in it again and Kate is going to be as well. We will be modeling wraps and other baby carrying devices.

I have a new friend who is crunchy like me and our kids are around the same age. i love her to death. she doesnt make fun of me and my ideas. with her, we are freaks together.

Princess Kate is not amused

Last night I got overloaded with the touches. kate nursed a great deal yesterday evening and Mike and I had some intimate time at night and then all night kate was nursing and whimpering like a lost puppy. Sometimes I just get agitated with the fact that I havent been able to do anything on my own recently.

My birthday is tomorrow… and I have no plans and nothing really to do. I dont have problems with the fact that I am getting older I just have problems with the way that my life has been going sometimes. I dont know what it is.

Work has been so boggling recently since we are short staffed and it is so hard to find help. Well good help.

This morning in the company meeting I listened to people giving updates on their week and had them ask me questions about issues with clients and for two of them I just wanted to scream “WHY HAVENT YOU BEEN FIRED YET?????” but I didnt. I just nodded and smiled.

I need a vacation. A vacation from life though. Mike suggested that I go out with my friend tomorrow night and that he will stay home and watch the baby but I know that he wont be able to get her to sleep so she will be pissy when I get home.

i wont face her forward yet because she is not the age/size where she is ready but people keep telling me that it will help.

I still will not do it. I cant.

We visited the inlaws and it was really great. She was so tired she slept all of the trip back, all 2 and a half hours.

I find it funny that they used to make fun of my hippie ways and now i have them asking me for stuff for them and for her. I have them hooked on my frontier orders.

I ordered some embriodery stuff (hand not machine) so that I can start making some of my own decorations for kate’s bibs and stuff. one of my friend is going to come over and we will sew together.

Mike has started teaching at the community college again which is great, it means more money which is alwlays good I guess.
I wish sometimes that we had all of the money in the world and could stay at home with our little baby.
But at the same time I love working, i get such a satisfaction from it.

Random stuff:
I watched the andy warhol story yesterday, it was real sick. real sick. he was batshit insane.
i have lots of pics from the trip that I will post later on, truth is I believe that this was one of the best trips that we have had in a while.

She is almost 9 months old and still nursing. I get looks from people when she pulls my shirt down and latches on but I dont care anymore, maybe I never did.

Cranberry artisan bread, grain fed beef, organic potatoes, and some yummy honey butter.

It was divine. I am joining the CSA here in houston in 2 weeks, after the holidays.

I dont know if I have mentioned here or not but I am practing elemination communication with Kate, also known as “EC”.

We needed a travel potty for her since we are visiting the inlaws this weekend. I hope that she gets used to it before we go on our trip.

am i the only parent who would at least look at the rating of the films/games before showing it to my kid if it mattered that much to me???? i mean.. if this film had nudity i can guarantee that it wasnt rated G or PG. isnt that what ratings are for?? Also, why wouldnt a parent see what this film is about and what it has as part of it before paying money to see it? i dont see a film before finding out info about it and i dont get offended by pen0rz in my films, so if my kid wanted to see something i would make sure that i found out about it before going to the movies.

what is the problem here with these legions of parents who are going around taking their kids to places blindly? do parents do this?
